As Director of Missions for the 65 congregations in the York Baptist Association Mike is responsible for helping these churches discover and develop ministries to the York County community. These ministries include new churches, Language missions to internationals, Sports Outreach, Lay Mobilization and many others. Part of Mike's vision for ministry is to develop "platforms" that enable his churches to engage the community in redemptive ways. This vision led to the development of the York County Christian Womens' Job Corps, LifeBuilders English as a Second LanguageMinistry and theYork County Christian Community Development Corporation as an effort to network churches of all denominations with other community, civic and government organizations in a holistic effort to address community needs.

Job Experience:
From 1964 - 1969 Mr. Roth managed several retail shops in Whitehall, PA and a Kiddie City Department Store in King of Prussia, PA.

In 1969 he had the opportunity to go to San Juan, P. R. where he was self-employed as a music instructor, instrumentalist, band leader, and instrument saleperson until 1977.

1977 thru 1979 managed Dick Reese's Piano and Organ Store in Birmingham, Alabama.

1979-1981 District Sales Manager for Encyclopaedia Brittanica for the Charlotte, Gastonia, Concord, Kanapolis, Monroe, and Rockingham, NC area and including York County, SC.

1981-1983 Co-owner and Manager of Roth Piano and Organ Center in Rock Hill, SC

1983-1984 Manager of Cloverbrook Homes in Rock Hill, SC

In 1984 Mr. Roth took time off to home school his children and to study for lay ministry work.

In 1990 he began volunteer work in ministry and by 1994 had developed an interest in Multihousing Ministry. He established a ministry at Country Club Arms Apartments and was appointed to serve as the chaplain there by the North Amercian Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. By 1996, Mr. Roth was operating ministries in several apartment communities in Rock Hill, SC and began to work with the York Baptist Association to encourage churches and other individuals to meet the needs of the residents of multihousing communities.

Since 2002, Mr. Roth has been on the staff of the York Baptist Association as the Multihousing Missions Director. His duties involve teaching, motivating, public speaking, and working with churches to help them establish new ministries. he also is the webmaster for the Association's website and has designed websites for several churches and ministries.
