Kurdish Alliance
October 3, 2007 -

God has laid it upon the heart of the York Baptist Association to adopt the Kurdish people worldwide as an Un-reached People Group (upg).  Thier are over 30 million Kurds and less than one tenth of one percent know Christ as savior (.006%)

We have partnered with the Central Asia region of the IMB to focus on these people. We also partner with a stateside group of churches and groups who have also adopted the Kurds.  This group is called the Kurdish Alliance.  We together  work on strategies and resources necessary to see these people come to the knowledge that Jesus is Lord.  We are partnered through 2010 and will evaluate the parntership at that time.

We send several teams a year that will go to Central Asia and prayer walk among the towns and cities.  We search for oportunties to give copies of the Ingel (New Testament) and the Isa (Jesus) video.  in 2008 we will send two to three teams that will keep this focus and we also hope to send a dental team.  Will you pray about how you and your church should be involved in this effort to see the Kurds come to the truth of the gospel?

Conerstone Ranch
October 3, 2007 -

The Cornerstone Ranch was established in 2006 by Mark and Sheri Rodenhauser in York SC.  After 12 years in the NFL and several years in the business world God began to call Mark and Sheri to step out in faith and follow Him on an adventure.  They have established Cornerstone Ranch as a tool to be used to present the message of Grace and Love in a unique and intriquing way.

They use horsemanship and the relationship between the horse and his master to demonstrate God's love for us and his desire to be in an intimate relationship with all people.  This presentation has proven to be a great tool in evangelism and discipleship.

The York Baptist Association is partnering with Cornerstone Ranch to accomplish this task.  The ranch is a great tool that the church can use in evalgelism and discipleship.  Visit thier website at www.thecornerstoneranch.org.

Dakota Sonshine
Learn more about the missions and minstry partnerships of the YBA and how you and your church can be invovled.
October 3, 2007 -

Dakota Sonshine is a minstry that was started under the leadership of Don and Teena Lykins.  This ministry was birthed out a burden that God gave them for the Dakota Souix people, particularly the children.  Thier heart was broken after participating in a mission trip to the Lake Traverse Reservation in north eastern South Dakota.  God has given them a vision to see natives become fully devoted disciples of Jesus and in return reach other natives.

The York Baptist Association has partnered with Dakota Sonshine to fulfill this vision.  We have worked with them to plant a multi-cultural church on the reservation and we are working to help start a camp for native children to be exposed to the Love Of God.  How will God lead you and your church to be involved in this great ministry partnerhsip.  Visit thier website at www.dakotasonshine.org
