What does it mean to be a man?

A quick glance, and it should be obvious every one of us is making our own attempt to become, and prove we have it. From the hallways of school, onto the sports field, to the workplace, weekends out, and especially with girls.

But what does it really mean, and how do we become a man? Too often, we have let this question go un-addressed within the church.

For most, when the subject is presented, the focus has been on helping guys make better decisions to stand-up and say, "no" to the cultural pressures around them.

But the gospel above all else is an invitation. An invitation to live and become, and discover the life with God, and how we live that out made in his image, as a man.

Untamed is a journey, out from the religious answers, and "no's" and into the questions and desires for strength, beauty, and brotherhood.

“If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you”
- Jesus Christ (John 8: The Message)

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm! Do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” - Paul (Galatians 5:1 NIV)

“We have been set free to enjoy life in all its fullness! That freedom provides us with the means to become what we really want to be - holy people with hearts for God.” - Bob George (Classic Christianity)

Operation Freedom is a safe place for men -- to find the freedom that they long for. And so we go to frontier settings, away from the city, away from the schedules that wear us down, to find what we were meant for -- closeness to God that will spill out into all our venues back home — our marriage, our home, our work. Operation Freedom hosts wilderness trips designed for fun, adventure, beauty and camaraderie in an atmosphere of openness and freedom. With over 15 week long trips behind us, we have learned that we were made for more than busyness, more than financial success and more than what others have expected of us.

You will never be the same! Based on Wild at Heart by John Eldredge, this Boot Camp is a weekend quest into the recovery and release of your masculine soul as God designed it.
