GCI Training

Great Commission Initiative Training

is Coming to South Carolina!

You’ve heard about the Great Awakenings. You are hearing about the Church Planting Movements around the world. Now you can be part of a Missional Movement in America!

"Our mission is to facilitate global church planting movements ( Multiplication Movements) by equipping church planters, pastors, lay leaders and missions strategists with the most current missiological thinking and best practices. We accomplish our mission by bringing together laypersons, pastors, ministers of missions, associational and denominational strategists as learning communities of 15-25 people. They learn first from successful, frontline practitioners who are serving in the world’s church planting “hot spots.” Then, as our GCI learning communities gain their own expertise, they learn from one another."

Our training takes 8-12 months to complete and requires participation in all three phases. Each phase includes a 3 1/2 day meeting, with field assignments in between meetings.

We have just added a fourth, optional, phase, available without any pre-requisites.  Called Story Evangelism, this phase teaches the learner how to listen actively to verbal and non-verbal communication, and then to select and share appropriate Bible stories to help the person find Christ.  A short description of each phase of training is below:
